Leo Cox and Tom Lynch returned to Manama, Bahrain to address the second annual Mid-East Fire Department Instructors Conference. Attendees represent hundreds of Mid-East and Asian architects, engineers, building managers and safety personnel.

Partners Leo Cox and Tom Lynch will conduct a Special One-Day Conference “Life Safety in High-Rise Buildings” at the Fire Department Instructors Conference in Manama, Bahrain. The audience is composed of architects, engineers, building managers and safety personnel from throughout the Mid-East and Asia.

Partners Tony VanBuskirk and Tom Lynch repeated their High Rise Evacuation programs at the Chicago Fire Department's Emergency Preparedness Conference held at Navy Pier.

At the request of Fire Commissioner Cortez Trotter, KVCL Safety developed a simplified, standardized information binder for Fire Department personnel responding to high-rise buildings. These “First Response Data Sheets” were produced in partnership with System Development Integration (SDI). During the initial implementation period these emergency information binders were placed in all category 1 and 2 buildings in the City.

On a lecture note, Tom Lynch addressed the Wisconsin State Society of Fire Prevention Engineers at their annual luncheon.

Two KVCL partners recently delivered programs at the Oklahoma State University School of Fire Engineering. Their programs highlighted contrasting preparedness situations in Commercial and Residential high-rise building emergency procedures.
